Abstract and review

Within the examinations the set of problems with fatigue calculation could be described. Furthermore, approaches for different aspects were suggested, whereas it turned out that there still is a demand for research in a lot of areas.

Due to the advancement of alternative energies, the wind energy sector had a downright boom in the last few years. In the offshore-area, first prototypes are being installed at present as a beginning for a multitudeof planned parks. To increase the cost effectiveness of these plants, more research projects have to be made for optimization and cost reduction.
